Elisabeth Follman is a California-based trumpet player. Shortly after graduating from the Wheaton College Conservatory, Elisabeth joined the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band as a trumpet instrumentalist. While at Wheaton she was engaged as Principal trumpet of the Wheaton College Symphony Orchestra and participated in the Showcase jazz combo. Elisabeth also played as Principal trumpet in the Conservatory's Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble. Ms. Follman's teachers have included Herbert Smith, Dr. Terry Schwartz, and Kari Lee Phelps. Most notably Elisabeth studied with Mark Ridenour, acting Principal of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Elisabeth currently works on the 3rd MAW Band Public Affairs team, shooting and editing video projects that support the band's vision and engages audiences. In the past, Elisabeth worked individually and with a crew as an audio/visual event technician for four years in the Academic and Institutional Technology department of Wheaton College. She has served as primary technician for HoneyRock, a camp in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, as well as a production intern at the Father's House mega-church in Rochester, NY. |
